Nachos topping with
Textured Insect Protein (TIP)

A snack, that is loved by many people across the world, is easy to prepare and, with our Textured Insect Protein, is delicious, nutritious and planet-friendly.
Try making nachos that are:

 Protein rich
• Traditional meat-free
• Planet-friendly
• Rich in flavour

1. To hydrate the textured insect protein, pour 85-95°C water over the textured protein in a container in a ratio of 1:2.2 (100 g textured insect protein to 220 g water). Leave it to hydrate for 15 minutes, then mix thoroughly and leave it to hydrate again for another 15 minutes. Drain excess water through a strainer if necessary.
2. Fry the hydrated textured protein with a little of oil in a pan for about 5 minutes.
3. After 3 minutes, add the spice mix, salt, pepper, mix well and continue frying for 2 minutes.
4. Then add chopped canned tomatoes to the pan and cook for another 5 minutes.
5. Serve the prepared dish with nacho-type chips, garnish with lime juice.

Water (85-95°C temperature)

Rapeseed oil

Mexican type spice mix

Salt
